The Best Family Festivals for 2016

With summer finally started, we’ve compiled a list of the best family festivals in the UK so you and your family can have a wonderful experience that your children will remember for ever. We’ve been to a number of these festivals so we know that you’ll find lots of family friendly activities, excellent music, great food and very importantly…..a decent loo.

Depending on the age of your kids it may be better to start with one of the smaller ones so we’ve also included an indication of the size of the festival.

Camp Bestival

Camp Bestival is a very family focused festival in Dorset that puts on an award-winning variety of activities and entertainment. With a huge kids’ area, there’s more than enough to keep your tribe enthralled for the whole 4 days. The music line up is always amazing and expect some great children’s live acts.

Their camping options are also very flexible so you can bring your own tent or hire accommodation in the boutique camping area. For those who want a bit more certainty about where they’re camping, you can also pre-book a pitch.

An annual music festival set in a lovely location at Vicarage Farm near Winchester. The music line up is always good and there are lots of kids’ activities to keep little ones occupied. It never feels too crowded and always provides a very family friendly vibe. Lots of nice food stalls too. As previous winners of “Best Small Festival”, they certainly know what they’re doing.
